About Classic Senior Golf League of Kansas City

​​​The Classic Senior Golf League of Kansas City serves KC players 50 years old and older who enjoy competitive golf.  We provide a friendly environment, and play to a course handicap of 20 or less.
 

We play by the rules of golf including holing all putts and playing the ball as it lies.   Review our Player's Guide by clicking here.
 

Our season consists of events on 14 premium KC-area courses, mostly on alternating Mondays from late April through September.

The first and last events of the year are unofficial "non-scoring" events. See our 2024 schedule for a list of courses and the dates of play. 
 

The annual membership fee is currently $135. A volunteer board runs the league. Except for incidental expenses and a reserve fund, all membership dues are returned in cash prizes and gift certificates. 
 

Players compete for prize money at each event. Prizes are awarded in each of the three divisions.  Prizes are also awarded on each Par 3 for closest to the flagstick.  For each tournament, members may opt-in to a skins game for $10 extra. In each division, the best score on any individual hole will win a skin, even for par or bogey lowest scores!   
 

In addition, players compete for points throughout the year based on their performance in individual head-to-head matches. Cash prizes are awarded in each half of the season, each half consisting of six tournaments.  The first and last events do not count toward match play scoring, plus they do not count toward your handicap. 
 

Note: Payout amounts depend on revenue through membership dues​​​​​ each year.  

Our board consists of dedicated individuals who are passionate about golf and running the league for the enjoyment of our members. Board members generally serve for 2 years, although some have served long beyond that time.    We hope to have league members join the board and provide their time and expertise when needed.
